The next Twilight???

Twifans.com recently sat down with Stephenie Meyers to talk Twilight. They covered a topic we don't get a lot of information about but that Twi-Hards are always questioning: Will Midnight Sun book ever be released???

For those of you who don't know the background of it, Midnight Sun is Twilight told from Edward Cullen's perspective, rather than Bella Swan's. While Stephenie Meyer was in the middle of creating the novel, and before she could even edit it, someone leaked the book online. This happened years ago and unfortunately the leak ruined it for all of us Twilight fans because Meyer has since then been extremely hesitant about completing it.

From the Twifans.com interview, there was good news and bad news. Good news first...Stephenie Meyer plans on working on Midnight Sun. She even has the car chase planned in her head. However, the bad news is, we can't expect the book to be released anytime soon. In fact, there is no clear indication as to when the Midnight Sun release date will be. Stephenie Meyer says, "I'm really burnt out on vampires," and that working on it now would only feel like "homework". Also, she knows there will be haters, which worries her a bit.

As much as I'm an impatient person, I say that Stephenie Meyer should take all the time she needs. I was interested in the Twilight novels years ago and I'm fairly certain I'll still be interested in reading them 10 years from now. At that point, Midnight Sun will be a long awaited treat.
