Edward is all wrong in the movie
Nov 23 2008, 2:53 PM EST
Instead of the cocky, uber sophisticated and confident Edward in the book, we get a scared, almost always pouty Edward in the movie. He either looks like he's about to cry all the time or wide eyed in disbelief. I'm sorry but one of the things I loved about him in the book was that he was so hard to read from Bella's perspective. Like he had a mask on all the time to hide his emotions. Plus I didnt feel that the movie did a very good job building up their relationship and why Bella and Edward were so in love, that by the time the scene where she begs him not to leave her in the hospital, you're stunned. I wish they used more of her inward dialogue during the second half of the movie. In sum, this among many other disappointments, twilight pales (lol) in comparison to the book. I only hope that they will use another director for the next movies.

i totally agree that rob kinda sucked. no offense to him, but he should read the book! he was just so... ugh. he kinda seemed like he was insane... and i don't mean to offend, really. an di agree - by the time he says "so the lion fell in love with the lamb" you're think "what the hell?" they dont give thier love any time... but i guess they have to shove all that time into a 2 hour movie so...1 out of 1 found this valuable. ya, i think they focusesd too much on trying to make it humourous than the actual love connection.
