Nikki Reed was born May 17, 1988 in West Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Culver City, California, where her mother still resides. Nikki co-wrote the script for the movie Thirteen with Catherine Hardwicke in six days while she was on Winter Holiday. Not only did she write it, she also starred in it. Hardwicke directed it.Reed says it is a partially autobiographical film about her rebellious life as a thirteen year old. She moved out on her own when she was 14. She also loves to go horseback riding.
