Dakota Fanning was born on the 23rd of February 1994, in Conyers, Georgia.
After she got her first job in a Tide commercial, the family decided to move to Los Angeles permanently. Shortly after moving she signed with a professional agency and soon won a role in the movie Tomcats. Her big break-through role was in I Am Sam.
